Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

What is it?

Platelet rich plasma treatment is a revolutionary hair restoration method that uses the body’s own cells (platelets) to promote stronger, thicker hair across the scalp.

PRP is a regenerative treatment that uses no artificial chemicals.

This powerful treatment is completely autologous, meaning all substances used originate from the patient’s own body. This makes PRP treatment highly effective, and perfectly safe from adverse reactions.

PRP treatment activates the regenerative ability of your cells.

Your platelets contain a large amount of growth factor. When released gradually and locally into the scalp, it stimulates collagen production and promotes better nutrient flow and greater keratin production –meaning thicker, stronger hair for the patient.

The PRP Treatment

Everything You Need To Know

How is PRP collected?

A small amount of your blood (10ml) is extracted into a centrifuge tube. It’s then centrifuged at 3400 revolutions per minute for 5 minutes, to isolate the plasma from your red and white blood cells.

How is PRP injected?

To inject the PRP into the scalp, we use a ultra fine needle that distributes the plasma evenly all over the entire scalp. This ‘mesotherapy’ device performs painless micro-injections, allowing full control of the injection depth.

How long does a PRP treatment take?

A single PRP session takes about an hour to complete. We recommend that booster treatments take place over the period of 4 weeks (minimum) to 6 weeks (maximum).

How long until I see results?

Improvements can already be seen from the 2nd session onwards with patients reporting significantly shinier, thicker and silkier hair.
